Chapelle des templiers - Journées européennes du patrimoine

Guided tours of the Templar Chapel and its famous paintings. The chapel was part of an ancient Templar commandery called ‘du Dognon’ located in the heart of the Blanzacais hills. Built in the mid-12th century, it was restored in the early 20th century. Three of the four walls are still covered with paintings depicting Crusader battles or mythical figures (Geoffroy Martel, brother of Guillaume Taillefer) .
