Exposition de Peintures - Octobre Rose

To mark Pink October, do come along and discover this exhibition of paintings featuring silhouettes of women seen from behind – a signature style of this local artist. The theme: Marijo Beaulieu, who is skilled in drawing, painting and sculpture, presents a series of oil paintings. She captures fleeting moments and the silhouettes of women seen from behind in public spaces (streets, buses, the underground). Inspiration: These works are reminiscent of the ‘Figures de Fantaisie’ artistic movement (which flourished from the 16th to the 18th century), emphasising the freedom to paint without the obligation to idealise the subject.
