Le Labo concerts: The Amber Day + 1st part Rock School
Le Labo concerts at Clos Lapérouse: The Amber Day + Rock School (1st part) 7.30pm Doors open 8.30pm start of concerts THE AMBER DAY [ FOLK / POP ROCK ] Singer Rachel Baum spent her childhood in Lafayette, Louisiana. Born into a family of musicians, she was immersed in cultural diversity from an early age. Based in Poitiers since 2015, she has surrounded herself with a solid artistic team to form The Amber Day. The 1st CD entitled ‘Our Stories’, released last October, is a sort of family album made up of childhood stories set against a backdrop of folk/pop rock sounds. In it, the singer with her distinctive voice evokes memories of her native Louisiana, pays tribute to her grandparents and shares her quest for personal fulfilment. As you listen to each track, you realise that this is no easy task for a young woman whose roots lie over 3,000 km away. Supported by a number of contemporary music venues in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region (including Le Confort Moderne and Le Camji) and often compared to the excellent Cats on Trees, The Amber Day seduce before dazzling thanks to the high quality of their tender, energetic music and their perfect command of the stage. Part 1: ROCK-ELECTRO SCHOOL The musicians from the Rock Electro School, with the help of their teachers, explored the influences and repertoire of The Amber Day, putting on a fresh and unexpected concert in keeping with the spirit of Le LABO. Concerts: 8.30 pm - Doors open at 7.30 pm, so you can sit back and enjoy the refreshment bar with Le Clos' home-made organic and/or local snacks. By reservation only
