The Parisian duo Jahneration, formed in 2009 by Théo and Ogach, have swapped punk rock for reggae sung in English and Jamaican patois. Inspired by Jamaica, they recorded there in 2017 at ‘Tuff Gong Studios’. Their collaborations include international artists (Alborosie, Queen Omega) and French artists (Manu Chao, Dub Inc, Danakil, Naâman). Their meeting with Naâman in 2011 marked a turning point thanks to the track “Me Nah Fed Up”, which earned them their first loyal following. Signed to Ovastand in 2015, the duo went on to play over 400 gigs across France, Europe, India and Canada, notably selling out the Olympia in 2022. With six albums to their name, Jahneration have established themselves as a key player on the French reggae scene.
