Identity, otherness, difference in the assertion of one’s uniqueness beyond stereotypes of gender, strength and body type. How does one invent one’s own sense of self? Interconnection, interbeing, between humans, animals, plants, minerals and the natural environment. How can we find our place whilst respecting one another? Creating imaginary worlds through humour, joy and strangeness: a theatre of the absurd made up of metamorphoses and didactic poetry. The repurposing of objects, breathing life into inanimate matter. Exploring characters: a blend of humans, objects, materials and geometric shapes… The creation of a large panel, drawn and painted during the performance. Artists in residence.
