  • Chef de Baie beach

This small beach is part of a 30-hectare site of the same name, classified as a Sensitive Natural Area, which is home to a preserved animal and plant biodiversity. Chef de Baie is one of La Rochelle's 3 beaches, to the northwest, towards La Pallice and Port de Pêche. Adorned with a large green space, it's also the starting point for a stroll on the cliff offering an exceptional panorama of the Pertuis d'Antioche and Les Minimes opposite. Note the presence of historic buildings from the 18ᵉ century: La Batterie and La Tour Carré. You'll also come across some blockhouses. Ideal for families with children. Don't hesitate to consult the tide schedules and the site for checking bathing water vigilance: https://baignades.sante.gouv.fr/baignades/navigMap.do?idCarte=fra#a https://www.labelleplage.fr/
